I think Foucault was the one who really essayed the Panopticon in “Surveil et Punir”. But, thanks, had no idea that Bentham had actually “invented” it. I seem to remember a prison like that in a high profile film, like Daniel Day-Lewis’ Irish terrorist, er hero prison drama, or maybe Nolan’s fantastic “The Prestige”.
