This is a debate but not a game because this is a serious subject.

Let me clarify: my reference to admiration was not to your comment but to the tone of the original article by J. Westenberg.

I was responding to the author’s apparent admiration for Branson. My motivation? I am sick of living in a society that lauds a person because they make a ton of money — regardless of how this money is being made.

I am sorry if you think I am not respecting your views, because it sounds as if we care about similar things.

I certainly do question the whole of society, and a society/government/shareholders making money from misery and destruction. I also look for the connection between things, for instance a gambling industry that encourages gambling.

The Times recently published a piece: “Figures show that the industry has spent £1.4 billion on advertising since 2012, with online casinos doubling their marketing budgets over the past five years”. The article’s point is that children are being exposed to this huge rise in gambling adverts.

Anyway, I am not interested in having an argument and I certainly do not mean to be insulting. I was just trying to explain my position.
