Did anyone else feel a little deflated when Qyburn revealed his big dragon-killing secret weapon to be . . . a crossbow. This is the guy who reanimated a corpse and all he can come up with is that? I know this is just doubling down on the knowledge that sharp projectiles can easily damage the dragons, but still. Not crazy enough.

It would be a cool plot development to me if Qyburn instead stumbled on some “scientific” way to create White Walkers as dragon killers. The end result of course would be not the death of dragons, but the White Walkers going rogue and flattening the capital.

King’s Landing being destroyed by “ice from within” would be deliciously ironic since it has for so long now perpetuated destructive “fire from within” in one form or another (The Mad King, The Battle of Blackwater, the explosion of the Sept).
