AI Docker Instance: Open Beta Started

AI Docker Instances are now available in the Open Beta.

What is an AI Docker Instance?

The AI Docker Instance is a highly specialized Instance with the following features.

Software

Pre-built Docker base images with the most important components and drivers for every AI user:

• Docker
• CUDA
• Python 3 (conda/pip) environment
• PyTorch or TensorFlow

Hardware

Every Instance runs on Dell HPC servers with the following performance characteristics:

• Dedicated NVIDIA Tesla V100 32 GB
• 12 CPU CORES (real cores, no vCPUs!)
• 200 GB RAM
• 850 GB SSD

Also the world’s first Instances that are powered by green electricity, and are housed in wind, solar and other green power plants.

What does Open Beta mean?

Free Instances for everyone!
Every new user can test our AI Docker Instance for free.

If you want to test for more than 60 minutes, please open a ticket and we will get in touch with you.

How can I test the Instance?

It is very simple. Create an account and verify your email. Afterwards you can test the Instance for free for 60 minutes.

Select your username, enter your email and you are almost ready. The password including a verification link will be sent to your email.

What can I test?

For the Open Beta we have prepared the following Docker image:
CUDA + PyTorch + fast.ai.

You can configure your Instance via our console-based management application:
ssh manage-bob0@gate.examesh.de

Type r and hit enter: Follow the instructions and start your Instance.

Your Instance will be deployed within seconds and you can log in directly:
ssh bob0@gate.examesh.de

What comes after my test?

We would like to get feedback from you! After the Instance expires, a survey will be displayed in your account dashboard. There you can give us specific feedback. Answers take no longer than one minute.

When will the AI Docker Instance be available for a longer period of time?

We are already planning the next milestones and are using the feedback from our alpha testers to prepare the next steps of development. The more feedback we get through the Open Beta Test, the better we can refine the next release. We plan to have a market-ready and stable solution by the end of Q2 2020.
