I haven’t participated in daily challenge this year so I decided to join on this, Today is day three so I would do both day two and three together.

I once lived with my grandpa(Not biological,He was my mum’s figure father) for about fourteen months. He was a stern, blunt and highly disciplined retired professor whose believes were deeply cultural and profoundly spiritual.

He was also a very meticulous person (I called him stingy) and paid attention to the most minute details. He measures the foodstuffs in the house, gauges the oil, beverages and allocates some really ridiculous portion for my meals..

One day, after asking me to eat three thin slices of bread( yea, he counts the slices in a loaf of bread too) and scrambled egg, he noticed my concealed grumble and sat me down to give me the talk of my life. The crux was that NOBODY OWES ME ANYTHING. I would never forget those words.

Today, everyone displays a feeling of entitlement, your uncle owes you some tips, your parents owe you allowance, your big aunty abroad should send you money, Your friend owes you a call, your boyfriend owes you a date, your fiancee owes you a well-cooked meal and so much more, the faster we realize no one owes us anything the better for us. Always remember, No one owes you anything.

Day 3.

I don’t fancy pets, they all irk me. lol

See you tomorrow.
