Brace yourself! This is more of a teaching blog than an entertaining one. It may not be an easy read because there is more here than a normal, well adjusted person would generally want to know but it will be worth it. It is the detail which makes me a boring person that brings the Bible alive for me. But if you happen to like what you read, there’s more to be found here
Introduction
In a previous post there was evidence linking the Nuremberg War Trials to the Book of Esther and the Festival of Purim. These events occurred about a year-and-a-half prior to the declaration of the modern State of Israel.
This article continues the trend and examines any connection between the Feasts of Yehovah (Leviticus 23) and world history which has occurred during my lifetime. I leave it up to you to decide on the evidence.
[DISCLOSURE: I was born exactly nine months after Victory in Europe Day. I suspect I know how my parents celebrated.]
The reason for writing this article
In Matthew 22:40, our Saviour gives the essence of Bible Study; learn about the Teachings and the Prophecies. Unfortunately most of the Christians I meet are Torah-fied and we have neglected Prophecy because we don’t know what has been prophesied. For what it’s worth, I see the Fulfilment of Prophecy is happening all around us — but who am I? You decide when you’ve finished reading this. That is, if you decide to read it.
IT IS NOT MAKING PREDICTIONS. IT IS DRAWING ATTENTION TO PROPHECIES ALREADY FULFILLED.
Let the minnow naysayers attacking the veracity of the Bible explain away the date of the Nuremberg executions. Here are some more points for them to ponder.
There is no theology nor opinion offered. The information can be found in Archaeological records, the Library of Congress of the United States, the records of Allied High Command in Europe at the end of WW2, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum website, United Nations records, and the official website of the Israeli Defence Force.
Greek Logic and Hebrew Logic
Most of us are educated in the Greek thinking patterns. With Prophecy we think in term of beginning-middle-end followed by beginning-middle-end as shown in Figure 1.

In diligent, systematic reading of the Bible (not merely proof-texting) it becomes apparent that patterns are established. My systematic teaching (Koinonia Institute) and the ad-hoc stuff I’ve done indicate that the Hebrew prophecy pattern is beginning-middle-beginning-middle… up to fulfilment, as shown in Figure 2.

Through the Tanakh, in particular, Yehovah declares the end from the beginning as shown, schematically, in Figure 3.

The Mother Tongue of ALL those putting pen to paper in the 66 Books came via the Hebraic Logic — including Nebuchadnezzar and even Dr Luke (check it out and prove me wrong). This can be seen by the Hebraisms in the Greek New Testament which often make no sense to us.
I’m open to correction but it seems that the lack of teaching on this topic is why Christian Hermeneutics is such a dog’s breakfast. There are a lot of similarities between the thinking patterns but it is like a Rugby Union side playing a game against a Rugby League side each using their own rules. (Some extra curricular study about Rugby may be necessary for some of you.)
Israel is God’s Gantt Chart for His Redemption Plan
It is written in Isaiah 11:11–12
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again THE SECOND TIME to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”
This was written BEFORE the first exile to Babylon. You decide for yourself if he is describing the current Aliyah.
Overflow from the previous article about Esther and Nuremberg
The number hanged: There were about twenty Nazi Elite, including Hitler, earmarked for trial. But suicides, escapes, and unfathomable lenient sentences resulted in only ten going to the gallows.
The method of execution: The various Allies had preferred methods of Capital Punishment — hanging, firing squad, guillotining, bullet to the back of the head — but these were hanged. There were a significant number of other war crime executions at which the other methods were used. The translation of Esther 9:13, Then Esther said, “If it pleases the king, . . . let Haman’s ten sons be hanged (H8518 — tālâ) on the gallows (H6086 — ʿēṣ).”
For various reasons, some commentators link H8518 — tālâ and H6086 — ʿēṣ to mean that Haman and his sons were crucified or impaled. But there are two things that must be known about words. (1) Words can have many meanings. (2) Words can have only one meaning in a particular context.
H8518 is a verb and H6086 is a noun and each have an array of meanings. In Song of Solomon 4:4, the Lover describes his beloved’s neck as having shields hanging on it. Shields impaled on a young lady’s neck is grotesque so being impaled is not the only translation. There are a number of other verses which are not a lay down misere the translation is “impaled”; Job 26:7, Psalm 137:2, and Isaiah 22:24. In Joshua 10:26, impaling or nailing is an option in this case — but not a certainty. So, while modern scholarship may deduce that H8518 should be translated impaled, you decide. I may be proof-texting.
An important reoccurring date in Jewish History
Because of the allocation of inheritance, and the restoration of all things on the Jubilee Year, Jews keep Genealogy and History records better than anyone. (Check it out. Don’t just believe me.)
One date that reoccurs in their History is 9th Av (Av being the 11th Agronomic month and 5th Religious month.) It is one of the Jewish feasts, Tisha b’Av. It is the date of suffering for the Nation. Important events that happened on 9th Av.
It is Historical record, easy to track down. Do with it as you choose.
• First Temple destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar (423 BCE)
• Second Temple destroyed by Romans (69 CE)
• The First Crusade officially commenced (1096 CE).
• The Jews were expelled from England (1290 CE).
• The Jews were expelled from France (1306 CE)
• Jews expelled from Spain (1492) (Check out religion of Christopher Columbus. Don’t believe me.)
• Defeat in the final battle of the Simon bar Kochba revolt by the Romans at Betar (133 CE)
• Plowing of the Temple Mount into the ground by Romans (134 CE)
• World War II and the Holocaust, historians conclude, was actually the long drawn-out conclusion of World War I that began in 1914. Germany declared war on Russia, effectively catapulting the First World War into motion. Many Jews fought for the Fatherland.
• On August 2, 1941, SS commander Heinrich Himmler formally received approval from the Nazi Party for “The Final Solution”. As a result, the Holocaust began during which almost one third of world’s Jewish population perished.
• On July 23, 1942 (Av 9), began the mass deportation of Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto, en route to Treblinka.

Total duration of the tribulation caused by the Nazi legislation against the Jews
The Nazis: the Nuremberg Race Laws were enacted September 15, 1935 but a supplement was finally issued on November 14, 1935 (Ref 1)

JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED IT, NOVEMBER 14 1935 T0 NOVEMBER 14 1945.
The Feast: Rosh Hosana on 1st Tishrie. From Rosh Hosana to Yom Kippur 10th Tishrie are termed the Ten Days of Affliction. (Days: H3117 yôm means day, time, chronicles, daily, ever, year, continually, when, as, while, full always, whole, alway, misc) In Psalm 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8 it is written that a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. In Revelation 2:10, the Lord speaks to the persecuted Church in Smyrna that they would be subjected to tribulation for ten days. History shows that was not 10 x 24 hour periods it was more like 10 years.
The duration of the affliction in the Nazi era is ten years (to the very day!!!!).
Does it seem reasonable to deduce that the ten yom pattern here was intended to be years? You be the judge.
The duration of the Holocaust
The routine industrial scale gassing began on 8th December, 1941 at Chelmno in Poland. (Ref 3) Germany surrendered on 8th May, 1945 when the last gassing occurred. One of the last camps was Terezin (Theresienstadt) in Bohemia on 8th May, 1945
8th December, 1941 to 8th May, 1945 was 1247 days, which was 13 days short of the 3½ years of the second half of Daniel’s 70th Week — the actual time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:6–8). But official reports show that the killing had not ended on 8th May. The Liberated continued to die for “a few weeks” because they never recovered from the treatment they had received in the Death Camps. (Ref 4) The count becomes 1260 days — 42 months — 3½ years. Of course, survivors continued to die as a result of the abuse but the curve is asymptotic. The turning point of the rate allowed the 1260 days to be acceptable.
Is this evidence acceptable to demonstrate that the Nazi Holocaust was a Prophetic Pattern for the Great Tribulation? It is up to the reader to decide.
Purim 1946
The Purim celebrations of 1946 were in March. March 14th, Ta’anit Esther; March 16th, Erev Purim; March 17th, Purim; March 18th, Shushan Purim. (Ref 5)
During that time, 13th to 22nd March 1946, Hermann Göring, the highest ranking living Nazi, the successor nominated by the now-dead Hitler himself, was in the stand at Nuremberg. (Ref 6)
Is this evidence from impeccable sources acceptable to demonstrate that HaShem was judging the Amalekite king before the Gentiles? It is up to the reader to decide.
That is more than enough for now. The Execution date, 21Tishri/16 October, relates to the Lord’s Feast of Sukkot. The next article will discuss that, plus the events during the next few years and the establishment of the modern State of Israel. Has Prophecy been fulfilled? It will be up to you, the reader, to decide.
