It’s an interesting review but seen through a pin-hole of a view…
A few things that really don’t work for me with the Surface Go…
a. it runs Windows 10 which has definitely improved a lot in the last 2 years but still has some ways to go to be able to replace Mac OS X for my day-to-day operations [let’s not even talk about having to deal with AV software, viruses etc]
b. Talking about Windows 10, Cortana ?! you can somewhat turn it off — but not fully disable-able unlike Spotlight.
c. the screen size of 10 inch is unusable… [sorry] at least there’s a 12.9" iPad Pro, it’s really the smallest possible size for me to work on and I didn’t buy one because I couldn’t justify it for what I do.
d. Performance, I was able to play with one for a few days and OUCH! I mean 20 tabs [not in Chrome — in Edge or Firefox or Opera] is really not shocking — I currently have 43 tabs in Safari at the moment, 17 in Opera and 10 in Firefox and except for Safari, yes I use those very often.. and 7 programs running… don’t even think about it on the Surface Go!
and the list goes on…
I keep looking at Microsoft to make something that I would love to buy — maybe Surface Go 2, who knows… doubtful…
