I’m not sure why you’re telling me how terrible Trump is—if you pay attention to the logic of my argument, rather than your feelings about its subject, you’ll find that I never ever defended Trump. On the contrary, I expressly stated in the intro to this article that I dislike him and that he needs to be kept in check by the people.

I am defending classical liberal principles, not any political or cultural movement (frankly, I don’t care about any of them).

But I suspect you’re finding this topic too emotionally charged to separate a discussion about how to feel from one about how to act.

You’re trying to counter an ideological position with a political argument. I don’t mind that you disagree with me because you clearly haven’t grasped what this particular conversation is about.

I don’t care whose fault it is that the world is intolerant (because proving fault is a wild goose chase—we’re all at fault). I’m making a case for how we can avoid making it even more intolerant, by responding in like to the proliferators of intolerance.
