You make me giggle Andrew. What you wrote here reminds of the past when I was about 11 years old. I was in a boarding school were we were often given a piece of land full of grass taller than us to cut and weed using a cutlass or hoe. At the time it seemed like they handed me a stadium and I often wondered when if I would ever finish cutting it. It seemed impossible. But after 4 to 6 hours of cutting, with the body aching and surprised that I had actually done it. I was able to look at the field with a big grin on my face thinking look at that. I did that. It was only a field of grass but it felt like I had achieved the best thing in the world.
I learnt quickly that the trick was to stop seeing the whole field and focus on each cut of grass instead. Don’t get me wrong, It was still horrendously difficult. This is what got me through.
