I just returned from the 2nd Annual International Scleral Lens Congress in Fort Lauderdale where I was honored to have been asked to speak. While there I met 4 of my former student externs who are now doctors. In the first photo on the left is Dr. Scott Nilsson who is practicing in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Scott did his specialty lens rotation in my office in 2007. Standing on my left in this photo is Dr. Amanda Golchin who graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry this past May and recently joined an Optometric practice is Delray Beach, Florida. On the extreme right is Dr. Jennifer Vicente who recently finished her residency and started doing a fellowship in ocular diseases specifically involving the cornea.

In the 2nd photo standing next to me is Dr. Alan Lee who graduated from the New England College of Optometry 3 years ago. He is now seeing patients requiring his specialty lens skills in Houston, Texas. It has been an honor and a privilege to have had a role in their professional education.
