Grounds & Wounds

roseate dawn
Mar 10, 2023

I was walking through the tempest with my torn umbrella when I saw you in a sanctuary.

You didn’t see me, you were tranquilly sipping your tea

You were intact, not in ways they understood

You were, if truth be told, ostracized, weren’t you?

See, I was not the one stealing a shelter,

You were the one who let the leaf came dark in color

Way darker than the sky we were under

The fractured was in the glass where you crooked your own fortress
