I loved to read your story dear Brenda and let me tell you that I felt completely identified as I read because I used to have big dreams too. However, as you said in your article it is better to have goals instead of dreams since goals call for action. For example, last year I went to Obama’s City Hall in Peru at Catholic University and I can say that Obama’s speech motivated me to do something more that was becoming an entrepreneur and offering a service that can solve a problem in my community, My case I thought of a company that offers services of occupational workshops and transitional therapies for children and adolescents with autism whose name is SER AZUL ES EMPRENDER. In this way, I can help children and adolescents with autism to enter into society and can eventually use what they learn in the workshops to make their own income and pay their own bills. In addition, I discovered about YLAI’s professional fellows program and I established a goal that was to participate in the YLAI 2017 Professional Fellows Program and worked very hard to better develop my business idea and then apply to YLAI, and now I can not be happier Because I was chosen as a professional YLAI 2017 fellow so I can now say that it is not only important to set goals but it is also crucial to work very hard at it so that you can reach your goals. I think this YLAI experience will be unique to me and will help me a lot to learn to be able to implement my project and benefit my community. Dear Brenda, I would love to meet you at YLAI, since I think I can learn a lot from you and you can count on me just tell me how I can help you. Warm regards from Peru!!!!
