Asking for a clarification: you said in the article that you don’t agree with Jamila that Kim is an agent of the patriarchy. But does not the fact that Kim Kardashion (and the other Kardashian-Jenners) is selling these products mean that, yes, she is promoting a female insecurity, self-hatred and body ‘negativity’? Kim is both the messenger and the message, and we should blame her. Her message is “I got my body” (which was bought and paid for) “while using these appetite suppressant products, if you want to be like me, use them”? In your article you say that Kim K should’ve known better. I am saying it is so past saying that the Kardashians need to learn more or be better. They have been on air, and part of the media world for so long. I do agree with Jamila’s description: she is a double agent of the patriarchy. She may have been abused by the patriarchy at the beginning of her career, but now she seems to have joined their ranks.
