When problems arise in your life how do you view them? What do you do daily to make them better? When it comes to motivation do you feel that you can conquer the world? Is there a way for you to feel motivated daily?

I use to struggle with this concept because at times I would feel like I could conquer the world in an instant. I had that child like faith. I had grit and I had determination.

After a while, I quit. I stopped moving forward in life because I thought that I wouldn’t make it. Quiet the opposite of what I wanted. It wasn’t until I had someone tell me not to give up. I remember what they said. I did not want to hear it. I wanted sympathy, but what I needed was a push.

You see sometimes we want to be defeated. Sometimes we want to give up but the reality of it all is that we cannot let that take control of our lives. Here are 5 ways you can become motivated daily.

Surround yourself with empowering content & people

I always listen to podcasts. I always listen to things that will get me through the day when I am in need. In the midst of surrounding myself with empowering content, I take the opportunity to talk to people that I know are just motivating people in general.

When you are surrounded by people who have a un-relenting determination to make their lives better, you want to do the same.

Here are three powerful podcasts that I listen to that empower me.

The School Of Greatness

Entrepreneur On Fire

The James Altucher Show

These 3 podcasts have helped me time and time again when I wanted to quit. They have given me ideas that I take a hold of and embrace.

Remember that “you are the average of the five people you associate yourself with.” ~ Jim Rohn

Practice Gratitude

Living in a state of gratitude supplies me with the mindset of abundance. Thinking in terms of abundance provides a hope for your future.

I noticed in my life when I am pessimistic I’m never happy and I never really want to push myself forward. A negative attitude will not get you anywhere in life.

I love the way this quote positions motivation.

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” ~ Eckhart Tolle

A lot of times we play the blame game. When we blame others we try to let go of a responsibility that is our own. Think about it. You are responsible for the very life you have right now. You have an opportunity to build yourself up or tear yourself down.

Here is a valuable resource for you to take to start practicing gratitude today.

Set your Goals

A lot of time we say that we will do something but we never follow up. Following up is essential to get yourself to a place where you want to be. I discovered this not to long ago. I wanted so many things but I never was truly going for them until I stretched myself. Start thinking of ways for you to achieve your dreams. Once your dream it, then set a smart goal. When you are thinking about your goals make sure that you write them down in a piece of paper and place it in a place that you will see it every single day.

Here is the definition for the acronym.

S- Specific

Write down what you want to achieve and make it something that is specific. For example, do not just say you want to lose way say how much you want to lose weight. Put in the how in the goal. Also ensure that you know your why because this will help you really dive deep into your goals.

M- Measurable

Is your goal measurable? Like is said earlier if you have a goal of losing weight, is that measurable?

How will you measure your goal?

A- Attainable

If you want to start a business and you have a goal make sure that it is attainable. Learn and take action with what you can handle today.

A good way of thinking about it is asking yourself if you have control/influence over the specific goal.

R- Realistic

Big goals and dreams are awesome but often time we bite of more than we can chew. What is relevant for your life right now? Do what you can right now with the time you have. That is how you build momentum. Focus on the little things and your will be trusted with the big things in life.

T- Timely

What is a good time frame for your goal? Make sure that you have it in mind and do not try to do something over a 100 day mark. Goals are expanded to the time allotted, so do what you can now and be realistic about it.

Have Constant Reminders

Set reminders for yourself daily. I have learned that we must prepare our day strategically and with things that will uplift us and others. If you know yourself and the kind of person you are, you can focus on what really matters. Set yourself with constant reminders or set an archive of things that will put you in a state of motivation.

You may not be motivated all the time but what really matters is your ability to take things head on and be disciplined about it.

Know what your worth is and the value that you can give. Know when you need to stay somewhere and know when it is time to not be there and leave.

You will notice that once you set reminders for yourself, you will feel more motivated.

Remind Yourself That You Are In Charge

You are the sculptor of your life. You decide if you want to take action to grow. You have everything you need to grow. You have all of the potential and the engine to get you to the place that you want to go. Go out and make the decision to be better. Decide that you want growth or nothing at all. Let go of anything in your life that keeps you from doing better.
