A Revolutionary Leap in Extended Reality for Augmented Employees

In the realm of XR (Extended Reality), every recent release, be it hardware or software, represents another step forward in a journey that has appeared challenging to initiate and seemingly slow in progress, despite the breakneck pace of technological evolution.

From the early embryonic stages with the Oculus Rift to the room-scale virtual reality of the HTC Vive, we have been witnesses (and experimenters) to a steady progression that has continually pushed the boundaries of what is possible with a headset. And now, we have reached today’s advancements.

The Arrival of Quest 3

Recently, I had the pleasure of adding the Quest 3 by Meta to my private home collection, a device that joins a long list of headsets I’ve had the opportunity to test over the years and that I proudly collect (allow me a bit of flexing 🙂): Oculus Rift DK1 and DK2, Oculus Go, Quest, Quest 2, and the — now older — Quest Pro, among various other brands’ headsets.

Each new arrival brings a set of expectations and potential, and I must say, the Quest 3 did not disappoint, showing significant (and important) improvements over its predecessors.
