I would just point out that I don’t believe there is such thing as a negative feedback. Feedback should always be constructive. Although I believe it is rare, people can tell you mean stuff, without positive intent and I don’t think that’s feedback.
Another tip I would say is what I’ve read in another article and that has been helpful for me to understand how the person who is giving you feedback feels: the person who is giving the feedback should be totally comfortable; they are the ones exposing themselves and telling you things it may be difficult for you to hear. You should be the one to be ready to be uncomfortable, not them. So make absolutely sure that you are ready to get the feedback and to reward others for giving it to you.
