Let’s brainstorm the good patterns of a happy human living a fulfilling life.

Hug, hug, hug!

This guide will walk you through simple yet effective ways to improve how you interact with others, take care of yourself, and give back to society. From hugging more to engaging in community decision-making, these practices are all about making a positive impact, easily and joyfully.

Interacting with Others

  • Hug more (at least 11 times per day): Don’t shy away from giving out a warm hug; it makes both you and the receiver feel more connected and secure. You also get oxytocin when you hug, so, let’s hug!
  • Say hi: A simple hello can brighten someone’s day and make them feel seen. Happiness is like a virus, spread it!
  • Help out: Volunteering isn’t just good for those you help — it makes you feel great, too. Sometimes doing little things for others without asking something back really increases empathy and compassion levels. Good job!
  • Be a good listener: Listening to others shows that you value their thoughts and feelings, strengthening your relationships. But remember to not waste your time listening to negativity or gossip that can drain your energy. Instead, focus on constructive and meaningful conversations that uplift and inspire both you and the speaker.

Taking Care of Yourself

  • Stay active: A quick walk or an hour at the gym does wonders for your body and mind. Regular exercise promotes physical health and reduces symptoms of mental health disorders like depression and anxiety.
  • Take time to meditate: Even a few minutes of meditation can help you feel more peaceful and focused. This practice reduces stress, improves concentration, and supports emotional health by enhancing overall mindfulness.
  • Eat well: What you eat affects how you feel. Choose wholesome foods that nourish your body. A balanced diet supports physical health, stabilizes mood, and boosts cognitive function. Ask chatGPT for a personalized good diet ;)
  • Journal your thoughts: Writing down your feelings or daily experiences can be a powerful way to reflect and grow. I do also write songs, poems and letters, it helps me to see my thoughts on paper, try it!
  • Enjoy your favorite tunes: Music lifts your spirits and can transform your mood in minutes. Your “Liked Songs” playlist is very special. More music, less stress.
  • Get enough sleep: Never underestimate the power of a good night’s sleep on your overall health. Adequate and consistent sleep is vital for maintaining optimal health and well-being.
  • Reflect on your life: Regularly think about your goals and what you value most to keep yourself moving forward.

Giving Back to Society

  • Do research: Dive into topics you’re passionate about. Your discoveries could change the world.
  • Write and share: It’s exactly what I’m doing here! Whether it’s a blog post or an academic article, your written words can enlighten and inspire others.
