Building an empty room from scratch or are you redefining your space with a new décor? The trick is to nail the furniture layout of your room — determine the airiness and the clutter of your space. It’snot always easy to find a layout that works in terms of aesthetics and family needs; to tackle this, you need to meet it midway where form meets functionality.

FabModula, one of the top Interior Designing Company in Bangalore has a few tips for you while creating to follow a natural flow and balance to your rooms.

Flow

Really think about how you will using the room, instead of putting together all the pieces to fill up the space, find pieces that meet both its purpose and style, and so avoid unnecessary clutter. Always take a moment to consider the flow of the room. Consider the exits and entrances, to know people would tend to move around in the room. By knowing this, you can decide where one furniture belongs and the other doesn’t.

Form — focal point

Symmetrical arrangements work best for formal rooms, whereas non symmetrical works for a casual space. This time, you need to think of how you would want conversations to flow. Identify the room’s focal point and orient the furniture around it.

Function

The functionalities of the room can differ and so the furniture needs to lay out accordingly. In a formal room, the location of the TV doesn’t whereas for a casual space or the TV room, the main focus would be its placing. Also, consider how many people will be using the room, this will dictate the type of furnishing required and amount of seating necessary.
