Being an on-and-off switcher from iOS to Android and back every couple of months, I have to admit — the Apple-like effortlessness is not yet there on Android. You’ll feel it after less than one day of usage. Some of Google’s apps are indeed already first-class citizen on my iPhone too, but there’s still a huge gap there. With Google taking over their hardware there’s a good chance of narrowing that gap again but it’s not a matter of a year and not two before the dramatic change which you describe happens. Apple lately says that it’s all about the services, I just hope that they understand that doing great there means putting way more effort into the details, so iTunes doesn’t feel so poor vs. Spotify and Apple Maps don’t feel lame when compared to Google Maps.
