a brief memoir of an immigrant’s adolescence

This piece was written in late 2018, during a time where my family’s struggles with immigration had seemed to reach its peak. I’ve left it unedited from that time so I can remember the emotions, raw and unfiltered, that came with it. There are many, many others with similar stories; I only hope to add to those voices.
