Kerikeri

The journey across New Zealand takes you to many places of outstanding beauty. Most recent of these explorations has been Kerikeri where one can visit the Bay of Islands. There is a viewpoint a short hike through forest, from which you can see the islands nestled in the sea.

On the walk back from the viewpoint a golden pheasant was walking in the trees. A barefooted local pointed the widllife and continued along the track.

At the end of the walk there was a box of free lemons. So with pockets full of lemons a goodbye was said to the bay of islands and the journey continues…
