Kilimanjaro Climbing A to Z…. Part ONE: Preparation Stage

It is a very good feelings and nice experience to Climb Mountain Kilimanjaro … and for that case it needs a very good preparation, this being Physical, Mindset and the People that will help you make it happen. It is always nice to this as a group, and so if you have some friends that you know, it is nice to plan and go together, a team spirit will help you a lot.

On the way to Kilimanjaro

Preparation stage:
There are a lot of companies which can assist you in Climbing Mountain Kilimanjaro, and sometimes it is a bit hard to pick the right company to help. You need a lot of information, and sometimes is not smart to rely only on online information and leave behind a personal communication with someone that will explain you the facts, and this is somehow important that it makes sense to you. Many facts about Kilimanjaro they make sense.

Summit

At this stage, it is important to ask information from some selected companies from the pool, and ask them for a quote, and in this stage you will be able to reduce your sample space to few companies that you would want to continue communicate with. The way they reply, you will be able to know and understand the ones know their staff very well, and the one that just do for the sake of doing to win a customer.

Equipments

After you have few selected few companies, you can start to write them again and ask few Questions, and always make sure that their prices makes sense, In Kilimanjaro you get what you are paying for, and so sometimes staff will be paid less as a means of reducing the cost, or you will receive less service to compensate that. The typical cost are:

- Park fee, which doesn’t change, it is constant.
- Equipment cost — You can receive equipment/camping gears of lower quality.
- Transport — Some companies can play around this
- Food — Some companies can play around this.
- Staff cost — Some companies can play around this.

Kilimanjaro gate

As you can see above, the only cost that one can play with is staff, food, Transport, and Equipment, and these are very dangerous areas. Because to succeed in Kilimanjaro, you need: Good food — Eat and drink well, Sleep well — Equipment, and to make sure all goes well, the staff should enjoy and look forward to receive their fair wage and this is important for them.

On the way

So if your only aim is to negotiate price, you should think whether you real want to Climb Kilimanjaro, or put yourself, staff and other people in difficult situation, and sometimes even death, because if you, staff and not well cared and feed well it can be dangerous for everyone.

I am sure at this stage, you are able to have removed some few companies already in the list and remain with few. You can check some reviews online for the selected companies, and if satisfied, it is time to see their payment terms and below are the check list to attend:

- Are they very much into receiving the whole amount, or just part of it to commit.
- What is their cancellation policies?
- Do they accept credit card?
- Is the company account exactly as the business name? website and reviews?

I am sure if you closely check the above you will be in a position to know and decide which company to pick …. so the above checklist will assist.
