I have always struggled with writing poetry. As a long-winded and lyrical wordsmith, my poems eventually become winding works that make better songs or chants. But now and then, a line meant to be a poem comes to me. After sitting through the opening plenary to a conference this past Fall, I spoke one of these lines.
