Libra Season Horoscopes: Taking Stock of Our Harvest
We’re ending another chapter and bidding Summer goodbye. As the Sun enters Libra on September 22/23, the curtains open to Autumn. Half of the world begins the changing of its hues from vivid colors to warmer, cozier tones — a subtle chill wraps around us — a signal to slow down and take stock of our harvest from months past. Following the retrogrades and transits that have come and gone last Summer, what fruits and gifts are you taking with you? Do you have enough? And if not, as we tread through Libra season, are you prepared to reach out and be vulnerable in the colder months ahead?
On the 25th of September, Mercury in Virgo trines Jupiter in Taurus, an energy you can leverage to organize your thoughts and sort big concepts into smaller, digestible ideas to materialize goals better. Alternatively, this is great for learning through teaching. With Jupiter recently retrograde, taking a look at an old class could be beneficial. The month wraps up with a Full Moon in Aries on the 29th, revealing a culmination of what started last Spring; are you satisfied with the results, or are improvements needed? Venus in Leo also squares Uranus in Taurus at 22° later, a call to shake up and reinvent the way you express yourself and your creativity in relation to whatever resources you have.
We begin October 2 with a quick Mercury-Neptune opposition which may muddle communications and transactions, messages not coming through the way we expect them to be. However, this transit could also grant us the vision to pick up nuances if we allow ourselves to understand. On October 4 / 5, Mercury moves to Libra, shifting the way we experience the planet, perhaps bringing in curiosity in the way we relate to the people and the world around us. Pay attention to what everyone else is saying versus going with what you think they mean. On the 8th, before he steps into his domicile Scorpio, Mars in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn which may come up as tension and conflicts, be it with other people or yourself. Venus moves to Virgo on the 10th of October, opposing Saturn retrograde in Pisces right away at 1° doubling down on the desire to experience your surroundings and relationships (material or otherwise) with a more grounded sensibility. October 11 presents us with a Pluto stationing direct finally, continuing his journey back into Aquarius, inching further into the sign until another retrograde next year. Mars finally dips into his home sign of Scorpio, giving us a tactical advantage in the way we handle anything Martian — our motivation, drive, and what pushes us to take action. Mars in Scorpio likes to think before acting, only striking when he feels it’s intuitively right to do so. Right away we get a trine between Mars and Saturn, which gives you the push and perseverance you need. Make use of this transit to work on anything you’ve been procrastinating to finish in the next few days.
There’s a flux of frenetic energy with the New Moon Eclipse in Libra on the 14th. With the Sun and Moon close to the South Node, this is a good time for clearing and cleansing, letting go of baggage. The ground is fresh for new things to plant, but wait the day out until the Moon separates from the Sun for any manifestation ritual. Take this time to rest and do low-energy activities instead (like napping and/or fasting! If you have reptiles, a ritual cleaning of their enclosure would be nice to do this time).
Mercury enters the heart of the Sun on the 19th / 20th, bringing clarity to our voice and headspace. Clear any false gossip and conflicts with other people, send out newsletters, or post the piece you’ve been working on (finished of course!) for people to see. On the Sun’s last hurrah before he moves to Scorpio, Venus in Virgo and Jupiter in Taurus meet in a harmonious trine on the 21st / 22nd of October ending Libra season on a relatively optimistic note, perhaps a lesson in practical spending and investing on what you truly value and what’s truly necessary, ringing true to what the next few months resound — taking stock of our harvests.
