“Dropping off the resume to our dream companies”, I thought, “ So this is happening in real.” It was a really good challenge for the upcoming week. I was very much enthusiastic for dropping my resume to different companies. It was a great opportunity for us not to just go out there (#JustStart) but also to go #extra mile. I started preparations for the big day. Starting from searching for jobs and reading their job description to to updating my resume and cover letter, it was a time consuming yet productive process.

I decided to visit two places for dropping my resume and cover letter. One was State Bank of Pakistan and second was Habib Bank Limited. As we know State Bank Of Pakistan is the central bank of Pakistan and the main hub of our economy. I searched from internet and from its official website and get information regarding HR manager and Assistants. On Thursday I went to the Lahore Branch of State Bank. I reached on time there and asked gate keeper about my In-person resume drop. He referred me to receptionist. She talked me but didn’t allow me to meet on HR manager or HR Assistant. I sit there and request her to allow me. She said that due to security issues and without arranging proper interview, it is difficult to give permission to meet them. So I came back with next hope.

Next day I researched about Habib Bank Limited. Before reaching there I researched about the HR managers and remembered their names. After facing many difficulties like Jumma Break, problem in getting copy of Resume and cover letter due to no electricity. Finally I got all things in my hand and reached there. Talked with an operational manager about the interview with HR manager. They said me to do wait. I sit in a visiting place. after half an hour wait I met with the HR manager Ms Huda Javed. She met with me with smiling face. It was an interesting meeting. I read my elevator pitch which I was remembered. Then gave my resume and cover letter and showed that how much passionate I am. I told that I want to apply their in the post of Manager Trainee Officer. She asked formal questions and positively guide me. I tried my best to drop my in-person resume and cover letter. And after that I thanked her for giving me her precious time. It was an awesome experience I enjoyed and learned from it. It is the start of my journey toward success.
