The Biggest Motivational `Piece’ You Can Ever Have is a Long Mirror!

You are not in the best of your situation. Your friends, colleagues, acquaintances and everyone around seem to be doing well. They are flooding the social media with goodies and feats. While all of them seem to be a Wall in itself, you feel you are just a Brick in it. Loneliness & Diffidence have just become your dominant emotions. You are slipping into Depression…

You could be anyone. Student, Employee, Home Maker, worse An Entrepreneur. Even worse, a Start-Up Chap. There is no escapism from the lows of life. You look around for solace. WoW, you just found one, two and many more…

What are these pills that fix these inevitable emotions? Many of them thrive propagating this. Corporations would invest heavily into this to get their employees multiply their productivity. What the hell is that?

Well, it’s the Inspirational Stuff. Speeches, Videos, Quotes, Workshops, What Not. All made to pep you up. Tries to get you out of that shell to the center.

Get Real Folks…

When is the last time you heard an inspirational speech that had a lasting impact on you? Or seen a Video? Perhaps, never. I am not being a skeptic here and trying to bring down your spirits or anything. I am just being practical and attempting to give an advice that can stay with you forever. I am not advocating that you should stop using such help forever. I am just saying that these are not enduring…

If you are really looking for a long lasting inspirational advice, stop reading this right now and go stand in front of a long mirror. Don’t forget to -:). And do come back, you have got more stuff to read…

Welcome back! You liked (sorry, loved) what you have seen, right. Nothing can be more inspirational than what you have just seen. No, this is not another inspirational quote. It’s a plain fact. Confused? Let me decipher…

Now you try to think about the question I asked above. Has any 1 inspirational speech changed your life forever? Yes, it could have been a stimulus. That’s the best it can do or that’s what it meant for. Instead, it’s the outcome of events that will keep influencing your feelings. Consider this.

You have a very important meet today. It’s almost like a `make or break’ kind of a situation in your life. Leaving nothing to chances, you `You Tube’ some inspirational videos and absorb that energy. But sadly, things dint go as you wished. Would that video still keep your spirits high? Chances are very slim.

Instead, imagine if that meeting went well even without seeking help? You would be on top of the world, right.

So the thing that really impacted was how that event played out, while the video was just the stimulus. Yet, we keep seeking out help, hoping that it will work wonders in our lives. The biggest delight, let me tell you, is when we reckon that we are entirely responsible/eligible for our feats.

Motivation is (should be) like breathing. You got to have it all by yourself, all the time and forever. And you can’t possibly fathom that you will live perennially with that oxygen mask, inserted by someone else.

So the next time you feel low and look for solace, don’t look outside. Look inside, say to yourself. If somebody can do good to me, it’s just me, myself. If somebody can change me, it’s just me, myself…

Yes, the biggest motivational piece you can ever have is what you see when you look into a long mirror. It’s You!

I would like to wrap up with 2 quotes, justifying my thoughts.

“If your life changes on inspirational quotes, then you are not inspiring enough”.
“Inspirational quotes would be inspiring if it’s followed by a signature. The signature of a successful person. What matters is not the message, but the status of the person”.
