A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Jordan and the United Arab Emirates to expand their collaboration in the renewable energy sector

On Wednesday, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates signed an MoU to further their collaboration in the renewable energy sector.

Energy Minister Saleh Kharabsheh and UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Special Envoy for Climate, and Chairman of Masdar, Sultan Al Jaber, inked the agreement on the margins of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Egypt, the statement from the ministry said.

The memorandum states that both parties will work together to explore opportunities for investment and development of wind energy projects with a total capacity of two gigawatts, increase knowledge sharing and the transfer of green energy technologies, and expand training programs for young Jordanian experts and engineers.
