Ars Longa, Vita Brevis

While reading Hippocrates book Aphorismos , a proverb was found, written in Greek on the very first page. It was later translated into Latin and then translated from Latin into English , but that statement of Hippocrates still exists in Latin: and even today the scientists of the world quote this proverb.

And now this book which is famous as Aphorism can be easily availed in English.Hippocrates has been called by Arabs as Bocrates , just as Pluto was called Aflatoon. The proverb goes as — Ars longer Vita brevis — which means Arts is long and life is short ( skillfulness takes time and life is short). Further, this proverb was changed by a drunken poet as — Bars long Vita brevis — which means life is short and bar is long ( Maikhane taweel hain aur zindagi mukhtasar hai), that’s the wonder of the poet. Only the poet knows the Pun to make fun.
