The FantasticDAO and Expansion Plans
Wooow, what a week since launch!
The reason for the popularity of Fantasm lies in the combination of a new use case for FTM token holders, well-thought-out and sustainable tokenomics, and perhaps most importantly — delivering innovation.
At the end of 2022, we look forward to saying: Wow, what a year! This article covers our immediate next steps and plans.
The FantasticDAO
We‘re very excited to introduce the FantasticDAO. Controlled by our holders, the DAO will contribute to decentralized control over the project, its future directions and of course strategic matters.
The Fantastic DAO will also deploy and manage the DAO Fund. Right now, the team manages the token allocation completely (treasury, emissions, allocations). As the project matures, and with the growth of funds in the DAO, the current team and treasury allocation will be fully removed and replaced with the DAO Fund. As a first next step, the current team allocation will be reduced from 20% to 10%.
Ultimately, all team and treasury allocations will be managed by the DAO directly, meaning control over development, marketing and other topics. Our next article will be dedicated to these changes in tokenomics.
Expansion Plans
We want to be the first to make a cross-chain move before any (risky) Fantasm fork shows up elsewhere (which already seems to be inevitable). Innovation is extremely valuable, especially in crypto. It provides the project with a first-mover advantage and competitive edge which act as unique economic moats. To maintain that edge, we intend to expand onto other ecosystems such as strong L1 networks like Avalanche, BNB, Polygon, Solana, Terra and Cardano. L2 networks Arbitrum and Metis are also in scope.
For the current Fantasm project, as well as any product or ecosystem expansion in the future, we will push strongly and equally on partnerships, marketing and innovations to achieve deep ecosystem integration. Our existing social media (Telegram, Discord) and marketing channels (Twitter, Medium) remain exclusive for all ecosystem expansions.
The expansion will help to reinforce a stronger foundation of the Fantastic DAO, which will play a pivotal role in the project ultimately. The upcoming articles will talk about the expansion launch plans in detail.
