This is a great idea. There are so many places around the world that this type of pile will work, as long as they find success here. The cost savings on installation should be dramatic. I look forward to hearing more about it as the project continues to move forward.
Now we need to continue focusing some of our intention on energy storage. Everyone thinks batteries when you say that, but there are so many ways to store energy for later use. Raising water to higher elevations for use as hydro-electric. Liquid salt batteries. Cracking water to produce hydrogen for fuel cells. With the use of better, more efficient, energy storage techniques, there is no reason that we couldn’t shift almost completely to renewable energy sources such as wind and solar.
