KONE International Trainee Program (ITP) is for university students who are at least halfway through their studies. Good English language skills are essential for an International Trainee. In many cases you should also be familiar with the language of the host country. In the program you will face interesting challenges and become acquainted with KONE as a global company. ITP is also an excellent stepping-stone to a career at KONE.

Internships last from three to six months, and usually begin between April and June. If you are selected for the ITP, we cover your round-trip travel costs to the host country and pay a trainee salary. The local KONE unit will help arrange your accommodations and will assign a contact person to whom you can turn for support. It is the trainee’s responsibility to obtain personal insurance as well as residence and work permits (if applicable) before departure.

An internship at Northrop Grumman is unique. Sure, you’ll learn new skills, explore our enterprise, network with experts, connect with thought leaders, and finish with a resume that opens doors. But you’ll gain something even more valuable: pride in what you’ve done.

For college level internships we typically look for rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students at accredited colleges and universities

We look for high potential students of all grade levels, and even have internship opportunities for high school students

Work assignments typically begin in May/June and end in August/September (minimum 8–12 week commitment). There are some opportunities for interns to stay on in a part-time internship capacity year round.

Included in many of our intern programs are orientation and kick-off events, networking opportunities with leadership and other interns, social activities, and learning sessions

  • Excellent command of English
  • Intercultural skills
  • Some practical experience

Please also remember that you need to apply well in advance (4–6 months), since you may need a visa and a work permit. If you are an enrolled student, we will help you apply for your work permit.

Interns

USA

Deadline: 29 September

Mountbatten participants live in New York, not as tourists, but as young professionals pursuing a postgraduate qualification. No other programme can provide such an experience; the Mountbatten Institute is unique.

We facilitate a carefully designed training programme that provides an opportunity to learn about both American and International business practices and to experience the rich cultural diversity of America’s most populous region, in America’s most cosmopolitan city. We provide everything needed to succeed as a professional New Yorker from the moment of arrival:

  • Professional work placement
  • Living expense allowance
  • Accommodation
  • Health insurance
  • Visa assistance
  • On-going personal guidance and support
  • Special events, excursions and volunteer opportunities

A typical week for a trainee in New York includes full-time professional training, one or two evenings per week of classes and the occasional weekend session. In each cohort a core group of active and dedicated participants will devote their free time to the activities of the Intern Management Committee, while others plan a weekend trip to Montreal or the White House. Some stay local and explore one of New York City’s five Boroughs, a visit to Coney Island in Brooklyn, for example. Still others take a class, play football, explore a museum, shop or volunteer with a local charity.
