I want to share my experience of in person drop of Resume and cover letter at Punjab group of colleges. This was very interesting experience for me, and I learned how you drop your resume and cover letter with professional attitude. 1stly I did research about the PGC and then plan what I should do. I searched the official page of PGC in google and I Found its facebook official page, then I send a message to that to collect some information about the campus, but I was unable to get the response back from official page. Then again I scrolled down the page and searched people who are involved in that page’s comments, I took an id and send a message to her and ask her about the campus, principal name, hiring manager, 1st she hesitate to tell me anything, but then I told her I want to drop my Resume then she shared the name of principal and contact number.
I made a phone call on that number and talk with the receptionist, and ask him what’s the process of applying for a job there, he told me that there is no on line application process, I have to drop my resume personally if I want to apply for a job, then I ask him the names of hiring panel, he told me that there is no specific persons and team. Then I ask him for time when i can drop my resume, and he gave me time on Thursday 11:00 am.
And through research on google I also able to find the name of chairman and founder of PGC, And then edit my resume according to job and customized my cover letter. And on thursday sharp 11:00 am I was in the PGC campus for my In person drop. And thankfully I face no difficulty there, all staff was very cooperative and respectful, so after asking general question the receive my resume and cover letter. Overall it was a amazing experience for me, doing something new, going extra mile actually was a great feeling for me.
