I think the author is important, but perhaps there’s truth in the lack of importance Medium places on the people behind the writing published on here. I see the authors as important and actually just responded to this idea. After all, people read one of Ev’s post because it was written by Ev. We care who he is. Everybody should be able to build a following with their writing on here. People who care about what you write because you wrote it.
