A Call For Processes
D. E. Mask

My creative process depends on what I’m working on.

If it’s a short story or other fiction piece, my process typically begins by spinning around ideas in my head or on paper to see what crashes together and forms into something I want to work on. Then, I just jump in and start writing what comes to me. Sometimes I’ll outline before I write, but most of the time I don’t. I’m well-versed in story structure, so I can write a story while knowing what kinds of things need to happen at what time.

For non-fiction, my process is a bit more fluid.
