Day Eight

August 16th, 2016

Today was a travel towards home day. We left Butte, MT for Post Falls, ID. Almost 300 miles, not too bad of a ride, but terribly hot. We decide to stop off at a really neat looking town called Wallace, ID. We stopped off at another saloon called the 1313 Club. It had A/C, which was a plus, and the food and beers weren’t too bad either.

Our final night is here in Post Falls, ID. We are staying in the very comfortable Red Lion. Like I mentioned ealier it was brutilly hot on the bikes. The heat off the bikes adds at least 10 degrees and we both adhere to safety gear, so we have our helmets, jackets, pants and gloves on. When we got to the hotel I was exhausted. Then we walked into our room and it was heaven, I think I heard angels singing! They had the A/C on and the room was so nice and cool. Just got my shorts on and jumped on the bed for 15 minutes to finally start to cool down.

Well not much else. Heading to the jacuzzi to relax before our final push to home. Can’t believe it’s coming to an end. On the morning of the first day, this day seemed so far away.

I hope to give a final overview of our epic in the next couple days after I catch up on some sleep.
