The Excel spreadsheet can be saved in CSV format by selecting Save As from the File menu. Select “CSV (Comma-Delimited)” from the drop-down list under “Save as type." Give the file a name, then save it somewhere easy to find.

Step 3: Import the CSV file into Tally

Open Tally and choose Tally Gateway > Inventory Information > Import > Coupons to import the CSV file. Click on the “Import” option after selecting the CSV file saved in Step 2. The purchase entries from the Excel spreadsheet are now imported into Tally.

Step 4: Check the imported data

When the import is complete, Tally displays the message “Import Complete." To verify the accuracy of the imported data, visit the Tally Purchases ledger. To confirm the imported purchase records, you can also create a “Purchase Record” report.

Step 5: Save the imported purchase receipts in Tally

After the imported data has been confirmed, save the entries in Tally by clicking “Ctrl + A” and then choosing "OK."
