How to pull data from different independent systems with no programmers included.

You’re a boss (Happy Boss day, by the way!). You have a working accounting program with your own databases and in order to get reports (documents) out of it and become ultimately happy, you hire an expensive software developer. He uses a report engine and creates a plugin that pulls your data and turns it into beautiful documents and reports.

At Fast Reports, we’ve been creating these engines for various platforms for many years and we know everything about reporting. We are constantly in touch with our clients, we are curious about the way they use our products and libraries. And at a certain point, we asked ourselves: how can we make happier many more businesses and companies like the ones described above?

We figured there is a way to take this burden off the developers if you have a ready reporting solution (not a library!): simply connect it to your data sources, get the reports you need, how often you need them, what formats, and delivery channels you need! Right away. No developers included.

That’s how our older products evolved into FastReport Desktop — a personal Low-Code reporting platform that will suit an advanced business user or manager.

Out of it, in its turn, we were able to grow more advanced FastReport for DBA — a lifesaver for database administrators, whose bosses are constantly asking for all kinds of data visualization. On top of it, it has to have a certain look and delivery intervals.

We know for sure that a cornerstone of each made decision is data. Data that is hidden inside the databases, quite often being unreadable for a human. Data that constantly updates and changes, while you need it right here and right now. Data that needs to be visualized and served at the right time. I genuinely find it awesome how we were able to create a shortcut on the path to this data.

We managed to make happy not only software developers (with our libraries), but also admins, managers, and what’s even cooler — bosses.

In no way does this mean that you should fire your programmers, Instead, use his valuable time for more meaningful tasks and in a more efficient manner while being able to get the needed information right on time.
