Very good points made from different angles. If I’m the Pats, I keep him. Trading for a 2017 draft pick most likely won’t be the missing piece needed to continue this Patriots domination. Plus, the Pats just won the SB (barely and due mostly to blown opportunities by the Falcons but still…) — keeping the same roster should suffice.

Pats keep Jimmy G, use FA and draft someone like Peppers and they’ll be finding themselves deep in the Playoffs again next year while still preparing for the future after Brady.
