Why resigning from my job after 3 months was the best decision I ever made

If you’re unhappy with where you’re going, take the next exit and go someplace else. If you think your career is shit and you studied the wrong major at college and you hate your job, do a reset.

A good read on switching lanes or changing your life. I think that sometimes people fear to make a change in their lives is because they might think or perceive it as FAILURE.

I know I did when I thought of quitting my job. I only had been in that job for 3 months. I thought I would be a failure if I quite.

I was toying with the idea of resigning for some time.

This is not where I want my life to be nor can I see any more future.

Do I see myself in this company for the log term?

No.

Where do I see myself in 5 years time?

At a managerial level, if not own a business.

Then I thought to myself, “if I want to achieve this, I need to make a change NOW. Before it’s too late, tied to commitments and responsibilities, and worst of all, get too comfortable.

I will never forgive myself if I allow that to happen. I do not want to spend my life regretting.

And then I did it! I gave my one month’s notice and never felt any happier!

I became more passionate and saw that I had slowly regained my life. My colleague and I started our own party business. It is still in the early stages but we are very proud of it. It is very fulfilling. There is still a lot for me to learn, and I will continue to do other things and pursue my other dreams. But for now, I am happy with my decision.

The rest is unknown. For now, I have to sit tight, and enjoy the ride!
