#juststart

We often find ourselves complaining about the unfair and discriminatory system we live in. We feel squeezed by people who have strong background provided with quality education and fancy lifestyle. Such people tend to grasp more opportunities and can polish their personality through amazing mentors and travelling. We stay behind in competing with such individuals because a lot of us are struggling to meet even the basic needs in our lives.

How we can get ourselves to a top-notch school? How we can manage to plan an international trip when we can’t afford a local one? The answer is we don’t need to do any of this. We just need to know what they know, and we can do that by easily grabbing a book or reading online. I know many of us find it hard to develop this habit but by the time we do, we might have missed out so much already. Developing a habit at an early age is not only easy but also provides you with enough time to benefit from it by the time you reached the ripe age.

I was very thrilled to work on this topic for our mega project, but I failed miserably to convince my teammates. I was unable to convey the message that developing reading habits among students will not only help them in focusing and leaning new things but also plays a vital role in distancing them from excessive usage of electronic gadgets. My motive is to build a friendly relationship between books and humans, and I couldn’t find a better to place to start than a school.

So, I decided to #juststart on this venture all by myself. I went to an English medium school in Gulberg and presented my concern. The school management was cooperative and ensured their support. They allowed me to take library class as often as I want for grade-3 and grade-4 and conduct my activities.

Currently I have planned an interactive reading session that I would be able to conduct in coming week and depending upon the response from students I will plan my next course of action
