Letter to the world leaders

Dear World Leaders,

Hope this message finds you well. It has been a while since I wrote to you, not because I was busy but because you never listened.

Excuse my naivety, but I just wanna ask one simple question that I always fail to find answers to: What’s wrong with the world nowadays?

What are hatred, discrimination, conflicts, disputes, violence, devastation, bloodshed and the ongoing suffering all about?Hundreds of innocent civilians are injured or killed or forced to flee their homes everyday.Victims of voracious and inimical acts are all over the news. Cities have been demolished, left in ruin and desolation. Enough?

The world has been silenced for so long that it scares me. You guys have shown insouciance towards what is happening. Let me ask you couple questions: What did you do to save the world and to achieve peace building as you claim to do? And what can we do to help? (and by we, I mean leaders + citizens)

United Nations? Human Rights organizations and institutions? HELLO!!!!!

It saddens my heart to see all these open-ended violations and encroachments in many parts of the world. All I aspire for is a world full of peace, harmony and coexistence. Am I asking for too much?

I don’t want to lose faith and hope in our humanity and world. PLEASE LET’S DO SOMETHING!
