Everyone is saying “well, that’s the point of the article,” but what that’s not how this opinion piece is framed at all. The reason why I responded to this is because friends were misled to share it on Facebook as a way to say “look how Hillary people are tearing down women in the Bernie camp! FEEL THE BERN!” So it pits two sides of the same party against each other as if what happened here is either candidate’s. If the writer is saying this is NOT a Hillary v. Bernie issue, it’s not clear and I wanted to address that.

It’s not the fact that the model supports Bernie at all. This is an online social norm — to attack women’s morals/looks/etc. on the internet for simply sharing their opinion. You can see that the nature of many of the comments have nothing to do with her decision-making, but with the fact that she is a young, female model who spoke her mind.
