From the GoDaddy Blog: Top 12 free responsive portfolio WordPress themes by Faydra Deon

I’ve been a web designer/developer since 1999, and I’ve been blogging about all sorts of things since 2009. Imagine my surprise and delight when I got an email asking me if I’d be interested in submitting a writing sample on a topic for the GoDaddy blog.

At first, since I’ve been in the web game so long and rarely get contacted out of the blue about writing for a company that services over 17 million customers and has over 6,000 employees in 14 locations worldwide, I was skeptical about whether this was a real opportunity or a scheme.

I immediately answered the sender of the email back and let her know that I was indeed interested, and then I immediately started digging around the web on information about the person and the company who contacted me. I was able to find (what I believed was) credible information about both, so I gave it a go, and a few weeks later… Here I am. A contributing writer to the GoDaddy blog on web design and development.

So… Without further ado… I give you a link to my first article https://www.godaddy.com/garage/industry/tech-svcs/design-develop/top-12-free-responsive-portfolio-wordpress-themes/

As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been doing the web design/development thing for many years, and I’m extremely grateful that someone noticed I had more to offer and reached out to me and gave me this chance to showcase my knowledge to a wider audience.

When you have time to check out the article, please feel free to let me know what you think about it.

GoDaddy liked the first piece enough to go ahead and offer me another assignment, so I’m hard at work on my next piece that’s due in a few days. When it’s live on the GoDaddy blog, I’ll let you know.

Thanks for reading.
