It’s not enough to vote. Unless “ordinary” people start serving in government, there will never be a majority to break the webs of interests that dominate actual decision making today. A permanent political caste, whether divided into two or n-number of factions, is still a permanent political caste, dedicated to its self-perpetuation and resistant to any outside (i.e. democratic) influences (influence via lobbyists and funding being “inside” rather than “outside”).
