In another reality I awaken to the morning sun shining through the window. As I rub the sleepiness from my eyes I catch a glimpse of you laying there the morning sun glowing on your skin. As I stare that shy smile appears across your face.

At our Smoky Mountain retreat, we spend our summers out by the lake or hiking the trails or simply sitting on the back porch while the grandkids play in the yard. Other days we spend working on our crafts, me writing my next work and you out saving the world.

Our families gather at the beach house for another celebration. We are remembered with lots laughter and even a few tears. The grandbabies are all grown creating lives for themselves. But they never forget to come here on our special day, to remember the legacy we left. That no matter what the obstacle, a life lived for love is a life well lived. Here in another reality.
