Cymru 4 Jon Walters/Roy Keane 1

06//09//18: Cardiff City Stadium. Nations League.

Glorified friendly or not that Welsh performance was up there with the best I’ve ever witnessed, certainly on a par with the rumbling of Russia in Toulouse and the 2-1 win over Italy in 2002.

Ryan Giggs, for all of his flaws as a man is moulding this team into how he was a player - dynamic, exciting, fearless and a relentless thirst for winning. They too left their prey shagged out…

All of our goals were sublime. Ramsey's footwork for the third was exceptional.

So many young players stood up to the test. As bad as Ireland were Wales could and should have stuck six or seven past them.

Ampadu and Brooks were stellar, Bale played with a swagger, Connor Roberts hit a stunner.

Joe played like we all know how he can - a calming influence strong in the tackle.

We got to mercilessly bait Roy Keane too.

Even former Wrexham and Chester donkey, liar (ask Denis Smith) and general shithouse Jonathan Walters got made a twat of by the outstanding Ampadu for our third goal. Scenes.

Paul Dummett was applauded by most, booed by the few. He will win them over, just as Giggs has silenced the doubters (this one included) after just a handful of games in charge.

Onwards to Denmark. Those futsal lads must be shitting themselves.
