In the February of 2020 I went to Northern Italy to visit my family. I had been there for three days when COVID-19 cases started to skyrocket. As I came back to the Netherlands I put myself into preventive quarantine, just in case I had contracted the disease. It turned out I did — just like all other members of my family.
