Light Up Your Office with CoContest!

a new way to renovate and remodel your spaces

Couples moving in together was pretty sweet, wasn’t it? But today, we talk about real business! Whoever runs a business, be it an entrepreneur, a lawyer or a doctor, is aware that his/her office needs to be renovated from time to time. This is clearly true for those offices or spaces intended to welcome customers — looking sharp, 360° sharp, definitely increases the odds of getting a job. However, private offices renovation is something that should not be overlooked either. According to studies (but it’s really something we could easily grab ourselves) an organized, tidy and beautiful working area increases productivity, making you and your coworkers feel confy and satisfied — how frustrating it is to work in dark, ugly, messy places?

Now that everybody knows it, we’re all set, right? The answer is no, because as almost everything in this damn world, renovating your office, no matter how big it is, costs, a lot! Then again, CoContest’s here to rescue you and your finances, saving you time, money and a lot of useless stress! Don’t believe it? Mr. Sharjah, from United Arab Emirates did. Here’s his story:

Bored by designers’ monotony (designers working in the same area, usually come up with similar solutions) and mad at their crazy prices, Mr. Sharjah decided to rely on CoContest to renovate his painting factory. Skipping the “how easy, fast and fun launching a contest is” part (not ‘cause is not true, just ‘cause I hope you guys have learnt this already!) here’s a list of what mr. Sharjah asked for:

The existing area composed of 22 offices.

“Office 1 -Sales Manager (1) Office 2- Project Manager (1) Offices 3-9 All Salesman (15 salesman) Offices 10-13 Contracts Dept plus Reception (9 staff including the Contract Manager) Offices 14-16 Marine & Industrial Dept. (12 staff including the Manager) Offices 17-20 Wood & PVC Dept (4 staff) Offices 21-22 Retail Dept. (6 Staff) Faxroom — 3 Staff Pantry, Tel. Room, Elec. Room & Toilets — 2 Office Boy in Pantry Area “

Based on that, we want to make renovations.

Note: The space for Pantry, Telephone Room, Electrical Room and Toilets will be fixed.

Here are the details:

“1. We need the following office to have:

a. Office for Sales Manager — 1

b. Office for Project Manager — 1

c. Office for Industrial & Marine Manager — (Office for Manager and 2 staff)

d. Office for Contract Dept. (Office for Manager and 8 staff)

e. Reception

f. Waiting Area for 6 people

g. 2 meeting Rooms

h. An open space to arrange a workstation for all salesmen. 2 Faxroom can be on the same place.

We prefer all offices to be on the upper part of the layout and on the lower part can be the space for salesman work station but of course all designs are welcome. Note: Approximately 20% of the total employee will be added so we need a room/space for them. We require to receive the following from everyone.

1. Open Area Design / Layout

2. Bill of Materials

3. Bill of Quantity”

That’s a big-o list, isn’t it? He must have spent a lot of money on that?! We’ll, for those of you who are still asking this kind of questions: he did not; for $1200 he received 13 different projects, each and every one composed by pictures, renders, blueprints, furniture lists, advice and so on. Not bad, right?

Plan

I could now describe the winning project, but why wasting time and energies to describe something you can way better appreciate yourselves? Here a few pictures of Giada Cella’s project, the winner. Just three words: design, colors and lights everywhere…enjoy!

Money may not make you happier, but, when running a business, saving some will definitely do it…so, stop wasting $$$: launch your contest and start smiling!
