Bifrost — Secure, scalable and interoperable
I recently learned about the Bifrost project and it immediately interested me. In this article I will tell you more about this project.
BIFROST is a multi — chain middleware project designed to connect different blockchains to overcome the existing blockchain trilemma.
- The ideology of BIFROST is to expand the entire blockchain ecosystem by creating an environment convenient for Dap, both for developers and users with the help of a multi-chain BIFROST solution. From high-cost security services to low-cost services focused on flexibility and scalability, BIFROST is working to achieve the above vision by providing an ideal environment designed to build a broader portfolio of dApps.
- By implementing the BIFROST network, we strive to become pioneers of the Web 3.0 revolution. Cryptocurrency payments and banking infrastructure are necessary to achieve the high popularity of Web 3.0 services. Existing problems, largely related to linking to specific blockchain networks, have always been the key to achieving accessibility and scalability.
BIFROST History
BIFROST was founded in 2017 by two professors and another founder with extensive experience in finance and computer science, Dohyun Pak, Jonghyup Lee and Changhyun Yoo with the goal of developing a multichain middleware platform that enables developers to create Decentralized Apps (DApps) on top of multiple protocols.
BIFROST has introduced a number of decentralized finance (DeFi) products, including BiFi, BiFi X, ChainRunner, Biport, and now focusing on building a multichain ecosystem inside of our network by utilizing the proprietary built multichain technology of BIFROST.
BIFROST recently raised $8.4 million, following the seed funding of $3.3 million back in 2019 from some of the biggest equity firms in South Korea, including Korea Investment Partners Co., Ltd, STIC Ventures, and other notable investors.
