You Will Die One Day

“You will die one day”. I saw this car crash yesterday and couldn’t help but take a photo. This phrase is a bitter pill to swallow, we are too afraid of death. It is not what you want to hear right now as the New Year is fresh and your resolutions are pilling up.
HAPPY NEW YEAR MY FRIENDS!!!, if you are alive reading this then pump your fist in the air cuz you are a winner.
“Everyday, if you are not getting better you are getting worse…you are dying”
We mostly think that we have time, yes you are young, you still have many years ahead of you, but what if today is your last day? What if this moment is all that you have?
Steve jobs asked every morning while looking in the mirror,

“If today is my last day on earth, how will I spend it?”

A new year is upon us, if this was your last year on earth what will you do differently?

The biggest mistake I have made in my life is not setting goals high enough. I now see that taking massive action is the only way to fulfill your true potential.
Your thoughts and actions are the reasons you are at this point in your life.
In order to go farther than what you ever thought possible you must think and act at levels that are 10x (10 times) beyond the norm.
How you spend your day is of course how you spend your life, most particularly how you spend your mornings. The first three hours of the day determines how the rest of the day plays out.
If you start in a peak state, a frame of mind that boosts creativity, you will get a lot out of your 24hours.
You have to make time to be mindful. We all have monkey minds; the ability to still our minds from jumping thought to thought increases mental clarity.
Your attention is like money; it depreciates as you spend it. Until you prioritize how you spend your attention you will always be mentally broke.
You are most creative when you wake up; it’s a shame if you waste it on social media or checking your emails.
Those are low value activities that will not make you grow.
You have to be intentional about your choices for the day. Get up and move. Exercise stimulates creativity. It gets blood flowing to your brain.
I was most creative last year in June when I was in Cameroon. Everyday I did 100 pushups and often went mountain climbing.
Lastly what gets me from day to day is gratitude. I have not totally perfected this because as humans we always want more, but the ability to take a step back and evaluate how far you have come, the people you have in our lives, the air in your lungs.
This has made me happier, more optimistic and shown to me the things that matter most in life, which frees up my time to do the creative things I love.
We all die one day, so how are you going to spend your waking moment each day of 2018?

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
